This accessibility statement applies to the Prion At Risk website published at https://www.prionatrisk.de.
As a company, we strive to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV), which implements the European Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services).
Current Status of Compliance with the Requirements
The accessibility requirements are derived from the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).
The specific accessibility requirements are defined in Section 14 of the BFSG.
In conjunction with Section 3 Paragraph 1 of the Federal Funding Act (BFSG), this has been implemented in the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).
Information about services that meet accessibility requirements
This project focuses on exploring biomarkers that predict prion disease onset or track its progression, critical for future therapeutic approaches.
Conformance status
The specific technical measures are based on WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA.
The verification of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment (the content was evaluated by an internal employee or the content developer) and was carried out on December 1, 2025. The assessment was carried out according to legal requirements and global standards (EN 301 549, WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA).
The website ‚PrionAtRisk‘ has the status of: partially compliant: only parts of the content are compliant with regard to the conformance level represented by WCAG 2.1 Level A, AA.
We provide services and information on our website/in our app in accordance with Section 2 of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV). We strive to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Act for the implementation of the European Accessibility Act (EAA). Our website/app largely complies with accessibility requirements. Only a few elements make it difficult for people with disabilities to access information. The following content is not fully accessible: – Images and graphics do not consistently have clear alternative text, and alternative text is sometimes missing. – The labels for some form elements cannot be determined programmatically. – In some cases, the focus order is unclear, and the keyboard focus is not easily visible. – The accessible name does not always match the visible name of the controls. – Not all PDF documents are accessible. We are constantly working to improve our website/app. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of material, we have not yet been able to make all content and services digitally accessible.
